Review: WooServers – Affordable Hosting Solutions

February 15th, 2010 by lordy

I would like to share my experience on WooServers with all of you, so that you get an idea about this service.

I have been associated with WooServers for the last couple of months and if you want to get to know about the experience in a single word, it has been “wonderful.” Frankly speaking, I have bought packages from many services before but I never experienced one with such a polite and helpful customer support department. Almost all of my support tickets were answered within an hour, except one which took around 3 hours for them to answer. That was related to some configuration details and they said to have taken the time to check the configuration manually themselves.

One thing I can assure you all for sure. If you are looking for dedicated servers or a VPS at a very cheap price, have a look at WooServers. You won’t believe what you get at such a cheap price. Not only the prices, but the sales support has been wonderful as well. It is easier to get answer to any of your pre-sales question because they will chat with you on Skype directly and solve any of your queries.

I have not experienced a single instance of server failure and that is really an amazing thing as the time period is not really small either (Two months).

You won’t find a better package at such prices. Those who are skeptical about trying out a new service may give this a shot. You will not regret, take my words.

Retro-futurism of Klaus Bürgle.

December 21st, 2008 by informingdiatribes

What did people think about our time in the last century? We can get an impression  from the  colorful drawings of Klaus Byurgle. Klaus was born in 1926 in Stuttgart. In the fifties and sixties he created an illustrated world of the future, showing it to the readers of the science fiction books and magazines.

Brand New Double-Deckers

December 19th, 2008 by lordy

Designer Hugh Frost proposed a concept of the new generation double-decker bus, which has long been a symbol of London along with Big Ben and the Tower of London. The new bus is not only the new design, but also new «stuffing». It is estimated that each wheel would have an independent motor, which will make it more maneuverable and, most importantly, harmless to the ecology of the city.

The Instability Of Oil. Will the Today’s Meeting Help?

October 18th, 2008 by informingdiatribes

Just a few months ago we where witnessing the heavy rise in oil prices, with prices peaking at about $150 a barrel. Yet, now, oil prices have fallen to about $70 a barrel, less than the prices were before the rapid growth.

All the major oil producers and consumers are going to meet in Saudi Arabia today to discuss the prices of oil, because such a low price could really lead to the defecit.

Many of us have probably been affected by the price of oil, for example, through petrol prices. The prices back in it’s peak hit me hard, with an average litre of gas almost doubling its price.  And now that the price has heavily decreased, spending on petrol seems like using spare change.

It brings the question of stability of oil though. Many investors back in about June/July could have lost a lot because of the unexpected decrease. Still, hopefully that meeting shall sort a few things out.

Shares in Insurance Companies Fall

October 18th, 2008 by informingdiatribes

Shares in insurance companies Aviva and Prudential have fallen. Aviva lost 13%  after the speculation about £24 Billion bond portfolio passed, while Prudential shares fell 9.3 perecent.

Shares have fallen almost 30 perecent in 2 days, and nationalisation of insurance companies seems a real possibility, especially after the AIG case.  At the same time, although a 40 percent slide in equities would take £700 million of Aviva’s capital, the company have said that would still leave them in a very strong position.

In addition to this, Prudential are also said to have in excess of a billion of capital, so both are for now, in a safe position. But what does the current market hold for insurance companies such as these two and AIG? The market situation is having a very negative effect on these, with shareholders selling and taking the value of stocks down. However, with the amount of capital and the vast value of both companies portfolios, they should be able to survive.

American Presidency Race

October 18th, 2008 by informingdiatribes

The election date is coming closer and closer, and currently Barack Obama is leading the race by 10% to become the next resident of the White House.

I believe that John Mccain as a person is not fit to be president, as his campaign is mainly centered around digs at Barack Obama and not the substantive proposals themselves. Appointing of Sarah Palin also raised my eyebrows and made me wonder as to what was going on. She herself has been subject to a lot of media rumours and her recent conviction of the abuse of powers only further alienated me.

Barack Obama on the other hand, is quick to answer Mccain’s accusations at him and says that McCain should focus on his own parties credentials more. Obama comes to me as the more honest person, and I, for one, would love to have the first Black president.

And since these types of topics bring about plenty of race talk, no, I’m not black.

Virtual World: Second Life

October 18th, 2008 by informingdiatribes

Second life, a ’second’ world for all people, is probably the most life-like world i’ve been too (apart from the one we live in, obviously).

Whether you’re looking to build your own business empire, go underwater and find a mermaid, fly on an aeroplane, fly without anything, ride boats, and go wherever the hell you want, second life is the place to be.

Whilst being a virtual world, second life attracts the attention of several large companies, and itself makes a lot of money from selling virtual land space. In addition to this, second life allows you to create whatever you like, whether it be a football stadium or whatever. And at the click of a button, you can fly about the world, doing whatever you want. And no, it’s not restriced to one land area, there are thousands of other places to go.

So if you’re ever bored or have some spare time, make sure to check second life out, the possibilities are endless.

Fraud Doesn’t Pay

October 18th, 2008 by informingdiatribes

Recently, a website where criminals come together in a black market to sell and trade credit card details has been shut down. The internation forum, darkmarket, has been closed after 3 years of activity and trading of credit card details that worth millions. Over 60 people connected to this activity have been arrested. What does this show? Crime doesn’t pay.

The point I’m getting to is, however, that sites like hacking forums, warez sites, illegal downloads sites are still causing trouble. These types of sites are what make the internet insecure, and maybe one day these types of sites will be banned and nailed down.  But let’s start with our own behavior. Whilst making money, never forget your ethics. Having some fun and making some money in the Net is fine, but make sure that it’s not at the expense of other users. Treat others the way you’d like to be treated.

“If you want something, you gotta work for it”.

October 18th, 2008 by informingdiatribes

Seems pretty obvious doesn’t it. But it’s true, and some people tend to forget it sometimes. They assume that if they put some work at the beginning, the result will necessarily flow later on. No, not true. If you want something, you have to keep on working to achieve your goal, with no breaks, till you get it. Anything else, is a mistake.

If you forget, go back to the basics, the labourers. The boy wants a video game, costing $50. What does he do? He goes around to every single neighbour one by one and cleans the garden for $5. This, my friends, is a true example. For him, stopping after 4 garderns won’t give him a video game, he has to carry on working, working and working till he gets his prize.

That’s the type of spirit that gives you a good foothold for doing business. It’s the same with any sector in business. You want something? You gotta work for it.

Creating a Portfolio Of websites worth it?

October 18th, 2008 by informingdiatribes

As the online world still defies the credit crunch and continues to show success stories like youtube, more and more people want to get in. Instead of thinking of a brand new idea, many are going towards buying up smaller sites and building a portfolio network to develop and then, most likely, to keep the ones that are doing well and sell the rest.

This can be excellent to have, for example about 20 different websites which don’t require a lot of attention, just let them build themselves up and sell if need be for a profit. There are many examples of these, as new web entreprueners decide to have their own media company set up before having any properties.

But is it really worth it? Yes, sure, you’ll feel good having 20 different websites, some may be giving you a steady income even. But trust me, without having proper passion for a website, or indeed any other, business, it is most likely to decline and fail.
