Brand New Double-Deckers

Friday, December 19th, 2008

Designer Hugh Frost proposed a concept of the new generation double-decker bus, which has long been a symbol of London along with Big Ben and the Tower of London. The new bus is not only the new design, but also new «stuffing». It is estimated that each wheel would have an independent motor, which will make it more maneuverable and, most importantly, harmless to the ecology of the city.

Virtual World: Second Life

Saturday, October 18th, 2008

Second life, a ’second’ world for all people, is probably the most life-like world i’ve been too (apart from the one we live in, obviously).

Whether you’re looking to build your own business empire, go underwater and find a mermaid, fly on an aeroplane, fly without anything, ride boats, and go wherever the hell you want, second life is the place to be.

Whilst being a virtual world, second life attracts the attention of several large companies, and itself makes a lot of money from selling virtual land space. In addition to this, second life allows you to create whatever you like, whether it be a football stadium or whatever. And at the click of a button, you can fly about the world, doing whatever you want. And no, it’s not restriced to one land area, there are thousands of other places to go.

So if you’re ever bored or have some spare time, make sure to check second life out, the possibilities are endless.

Fraud Doesn’t Pay

Saturday, October 18th, 2008

Recently, a website where criminals come together in a black market to sell and trade credit card details has been shut down. The internation forum, darkmarket, has been closed after 3 years of activity and trading of credit card details that worth millions. Over 60 people connected to this activity have been arrested. What does this show? Crime doesn’t pay.

The point I’m getting to is, however, that sites like hacking forums, warez sites, illegal downloads sites are still causing trouble. These types of sites are what make the internet insecure, and maybe one day these types of sites will be banned and nailed down.  But let’s start with our own behavior. Whilst making money, never forget your ethics. Having some fun and making some money in the Net is fine, but make sure that it’s not at the expense of other users. Treat others the way you’d like to be treated.

“If you want something, you gotta work for it”.

Saturday, October 18th, 2008

Seems pretty obvious doesn’t it. But it’s true, and some people tend to forget it sometimes. They assume that if they put some work at the beginning, the result will necessarily flow later on. No, not true. If you want something, you have to keep on working to achieve your goal, with no breaks, till you get it. Anything else, is a mistake.

If you forget, go back to the basics, the labourers. The boy wants a video game, costing $50. What does he do? He goes around to every single neighbour one by one and cleans the garden for $5. This, my friends, is a true example. For him, stopping after 4 garderns won’t give him a video game, he has to carry on working, working and working till he gets his prize.

That’s the type of spirit that gives you a good foothold for doing business. It’s the same with any sector in business. You want something? You gotta work for it.
